Ruth was raised along the Tennessee River in western Kentucky. There she found a love for nature which became the inspiration for her canvas. She uses oils, acrylics, and dyes to paint feathers, eggs, and saw blades.
Her most recent project is sculpting eggs, she say “ it is fun to explore the vast opportunities of creativity with the eggs. The challenge is to hold them gently and carve without crushing the egg. “When I work with eggs I am reminded that life is fragile; handle with care.”
